D.I.Y. Rubber Stamps

25 Apr

I just know this sweetly Southern D.I.Y. tutorial found on The Sweetest Occasion is going to go to the top of your weekend to-do list! Everyone knows I love crafting, especially if it’s going to be kind on my limited college student piggy bank! This charming rubber stamp project is just that. Who wouldn’t want a mustache stamp?! Without further ado, check out the easy-to-follow tutorial below to get started. Happy crafting lovelies!

You need:

{1} Pencil
{1} X-Acto Knife
{1} Stamp Pad
{1 or 2} Pink Erasers

Start by drawing a simple picture on your eraser with pencil. If you mess up, the lead will easily rub off and you can try again.

Next, take your X-Acto knife and carefully trace around your image, cutting directly downward. You won’t need to get more than about 1/8 of an inch deep.

Then, cut in from the edges of the eraser, being careful to only cut up to where you traced the image with the knife. Work your way around in pieces, clearing away the parts that come free, until all of the excess is cut away.

Ta-da! You made a rubber stamp! Now ink it up and stamp away…

D.I.Y. Neon Notepads

23 Apr

I am a list maker by nature. If I don’t write something down to then be crossed off later, I feel like I don’t really accomplish anything so every day starts with a list! These super fun  notepads made by Whitney at EatSleepCuddle are such an easy project to glamorize and beautify a busy working girl’s many lists! Happy crafting readers!

from Whitney: ‘i used scrapbook paper for the book jacket, regular computer paper for the inside (cut to size), PVA glue to put it all together, and gold leaf for the “dipped” look. (i use the adhesive size & gold leaf that are shown in this kit.)’

Today I’ve got a bundle of celebratory gifts that will satisfy both the bride and groom, and will make your gifting responsibilities a much more pleasant experience…the best of both worlds! Real Weddings: Be Mine, For Always

17 Feb

Blair & Luke’s Virginia wedding is just perfect timing for this week’s love-infested activities. These sweethearts were married in the backyard of the bride’s family home, which made the day even more special. Featured on both Grey Likes Weddings and Southern Weddings Magazine, pictures of the day were captured by the fabulously talented Adam Barnes. I guarantee this wedding will make your heart happy and your spirit joyful as you embark on your weekend adventures!

These bridesmaid dresses are just so fun! They make me want to go dancing…

Monogrammed drink stirrers?! I only wish I had thought of it first.

Welcome Totes

26 Jan

This afternoon I have the perfect makings of a wedding tote to welcome all of your friends and family to your destination beach affair!

It all starts with the bag. Personalized wedding totes are a huge trend right now and being such a charming reminder of the weekend like the one below, I can see why!

Then you and your beau get to fill it with all of the lovely details you want!

{1} Write your guests a personal message in a bottle to say ‘thank you’ for their love and support!
{2} These custom stickers are too cute not to put in your bag.
{3} Sipping their hot beverage of choice from these mugs, your guests will be carried away to the beach even on the coldest of days.
{4} Flip flops are essential for long walks on the beach!
{5} A gorgeous mercury candle like this will bring warm romance to those long winter nights.
{6} Salt water taffy is definitely a staple of a perfect beach vacation.
{7} Wintertide spa scrub to keep skin soft and smooth during the harsh winter months.
{8} A vintage beach-themed flask will make the guys very happy!
{9} If you want to add a little something special in your bridal party’s bags, monogrammed cashmere scarves could be just what you’re looking for.

A Reason to Celebrate

26 Jan

Friends, this morning I have for you a fabulous reason to celebrate!

I present you with REVEL, a brilliant endeavor from the modern minds of New York City’s 57Grand that takes soiree shopability to a whole new level. Planning a wedding? A dinner party? A birthday celebration?? Whatever the festivities, REVEL is the perfect resource for your next big event! Festive inspiration is everywhere across the web, but what’s a girl to do when she actually wants to purchase the photographed details for her own entertaining, but doesn’t know where to start?? Well I’m about to blow your mind!

The ladies of REVEL have done all the work for us and created a collection of daily inspiration that is instantly shopable. Dangerous…But I like it! Their blog revolves around everything ‘modern celebration’ from do-it-yourself projects to expert advice, but my favorite part is the unique inspiration shopping boards (like the one below) they create for  specific color palettes and/or themes.

If an item catches your eye, and you want to find out more about it, just click on the image for more lovely details!

And here’s where things get super exciting – If you really love the item, just click on the bright yellow ‘buy me’ button and you will immediately be linked to a source of purchase!

It’s like Pinterest…but BETTER.
